Neither of us were looking to start a relationship when we first met. We met on July 24, 2021 through a Christian fellowship startup app called United Young, which has since been renamed to Holy. Almost immediately, we felt a unique connection and began dating August 24, 2021. 

At the time, we were in different time zones 8 hours apart. We shared about our days when one was getting ready for bed, and the other was getting ready for the day.  We often talked about the stars and the night sky. Jacob shared his past experience with the Persied meteor shower and we agreed to see the meteor shower together the next year. 

Five months later, we finally had the opportunity to meet in person! Jacob visited Kimberly in Atlanta, GA at the end of December 2021. 

Throughout 2022 and 2023, we took turns visiting each other in Atlanta, GA and Phoenix, AZ. We went camping to see the Persied meteor shower together in 2022, but it rained and the sky was too cloudy for us to see any meteors. 

In August 2023, we went to Canyon Lake near Phoenix to try again and see the Persied meteor shower. At around 3AM, Jacob surprised Kimberly with a proposal under the stars by the lake. 

We are very excited to begin our lives together and look forward to having you join us on our special day!
